OTHER EVENTS IN PLYMOUTH
Plymouth Radical Cinema
Plymouth Radical Cinema, in our brand new venue, (see below) brings you free films on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30, films from around the world, with a radical edge, that you don't usually find at the multiplex. This is followed by a discussion for those who want to stay.
Our film for November 12th, after being postponed twice, is Nothing to Hide, the documentary about Big Data. The film deals with surveillance and its bizarre acceptance by the general public. But, as Edward Snowden says, to say you don’t mind Big Data because you have nothing to hide is like saying you don’t need freedom of speech because you have nothing to say. Did Vote Leave win the referendum by the use of Big Data? Almost certainly yes.
